It’s curious to see so much Nationlist/Republican commentary critical of Unionists/Loyalists for allegedly having difficulty with the notion of a Sinn Féin First Minister in Northern Ireland – a Minister for All allegedly.

It’s curious because political parties in the Republic of Ireland have not hidden their shared belief that Sinn Féin is not fit at all for government in the Republic of Ireland owing to links to criminality and because Sinn Féin still glorifies recently committed acts of terrorism including those acts that murdered innocent civilians, men, women and children…

Sinn Féin doesn’t bother so much about the murders of police and soldiers, even when those police or soldiers were servants of the Irish State.

Worse, were a Sinn Féin leader to head a government in the Republic of Ireland it would be the only country in the European Union whose elected leader honoured and glorified acts of terrorism so recently committed on a civilian population – in fact, the only country in the European Union whose elected leader’s political movement had still not accounted for the corpses of civilians it had abducted, tortured, extra-judicially executed and then “disappeared” in bogs and beaches whose locations are now forgotten or deliberately withheld…

In fact, were a Sinn Féin leader to head a government in either Northern Ireland or the Republic of Ireland, it would be the only party in government across Europe whose paramilitary wing still refused to return the earthly remains of a soldier who was captured, tortured and then executed and disappeared – a Catholic soldier educated at the Benedictine school of Ampleforth, Captain Robert Nairac.

A Sinn Féin leader heading a government in either part of Ireland would be the only political leader to have direct links to the training of the world’s leading Narco-Terrorists – FARC in Colombia – since they were Sinn Féin and IRA leaders who were captured in Colombia after delivering training sessions to FARC terrorists – and the Sinn Féin leader, Mary Lou McDonald, spent an entire evening hosting a glorification of the IRA leader captured in Colombia who escaped justice in Colombia – Jim “Mortar” Monaghan – an evening in the Gresham Hotel in Dublin reported in the newspapers…

The details of the “deal” struck with FARC – the world’s leading producers and distributors of Cocaine – the multi-million dollar payment for the training sessions – these details have been withheld from the peoples and politicians of both jurisdictions on the island of Ireland.

So let’s be a little honest about the moment that an unrepentant supporter of IRA terrorism and gangsterism is granted a leadership role in government in Northern Ireland or in the Republic of Ireland – the European Union will have to come to terms with a Sinn Féin leader still supporting TERRORISM and GANGSTERISM and honouring those engaged in murders, bombings, abductions, torture and extra-judicial executions and corpse disappearances…

To a population now at peace with unrepentant terrorists in government – largely the Nationalist/Republican population of Northern Ireland – your neighbours in the Republic of Ireland trumpet that Sinn Féin is not fit to be in government – why shouldn’t every European politician feel the same?
